How to Enable/Disable Demo Mode for an Account from WHM
To enable or disable Demo Mode for a cPanel account, you must use the Manage Demo Mode tool in WHM. This is a useful feature for giving potential customers access to a cPanel interface that appears fully functional but restricts them from making any changes to files or settings.
Step 1: Log in to WHM and Access the Tool
- Log in to your WebHost Manager (WHM) as the root user.
- In the search bar, type “Manage Demo Mode” and click on the corresponding option under the Account Functions section.
Step 2: Select the Account
On the “Manage Demo Mode” page, you will see a list of all cPanel accounts. Select the specific account you want to enable or disable demo mode for and click the Modify button.
Step 3: Enable or Disable Demo Mode
On the next screen, you will see the current status of demo mode for the account.
- To enable demo mode, click the Enable button.
- To disable demo mode, click the Disable button.
After you click the button, WHM will process the change, and the account’s permissions will be updated.
