Restarting the Apache web server from WHM is a quick way to apply new configuration changes or to troubleshoot issues with your websites. This process is very simple and can be done without using the command line.
How to Restart Apache Server from WHM
- Log in to WHM: Access your WebHost Manager as the root user.
- Navigate to Restart Services: In the search bar on the left side, type “restart services” and click on the corresponding option.
- Select Apache: From the list of services, click on HTTP Server (Apache).
- Confirm Restart: WHM will ask for a confirmation before restarting the service. Click Yes to proceed.
- Wait for Confirmation: The server will take a moment to stop and restart the Apache service. A message will appear confirming that the restart was successful.
This method performs a full restart, which will temporarily interrupt any ongoing HTTP requests until the process is complete. It is best to do this during a low-traffic period.
