How Can We Help?
How to Check Bandwidth Usage from WHM Panel
To check bandwidth usage in WHM, you’ll use the View Bandwidth Usage tool. This feature provides a detailed, month-by-month breakdown of how much bandwidth each cPanel account is consuming.
Step 1: Log in to WHM and Access the Tool
- Log in to your WebHost Manager (WHM) as the
root
user. - In the WHM search bar on the left, type “Bandwidth” and click on the View Bandwidth Usage option under the Account Information section.
Step 2: View Bandwidth Usage per Account
The View Bandwidth Usage page displays a table with several columns for each cPanel account on your server:
- User: The cPanel username.
- Domain: The main domain of the account.
- Xfer: The total bandwidth used for the current month.
- Limit: The bandwidth limit set for the account.
- Usage: The percentage of the allocated bandwidth that has been used.
You can also view bandwidth for previous months by clicking the “Last Month” link at the top of the page.
Step 3: Analyze Bandwidth Details
- Subdomains and Addon Domains: If a user has subdomains or addon domains with data transfer, you can click the
+
sign next to their account to see a breakdown of the bandwidth usage for each domain. - Color-Coded Alerts: The rows will be highlighted in yellow if an account has reached 70% of its bandwidth limit and in red if it has reached 85%.
- Total Usage: The page also provides the total bandwidth usage for all accounts on the server at the bottom.
